Orlando J. Manalang, FASP

Orly is the primary Actuarial Consultant of Institutional Synergy, Inc. Prior to this position, Orly was a Principal in the Business Consulting Division of SGV & Co. where he headed the Firm’s Actuarial and HR Consulting practices.

Orly is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines where he has served as a Board member and Examiner specializing in employee benefits valuations and PAS 19. He is also a compensation and benefits consultant. He holds Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designations from the American Compensation Association.

Orly obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Statistics (cum laude) from the University of the Philippines where he also took graduate studies in Actuarial Science.

Lucia Chona Ventura, FASP

Lucia is a Consulting Actuary of Institutional Synergy, Inc.. She reviews and certifies actuarial reports for InSync clients, and assists in providing solutions in the areas of retirement plan design and actuarial valuation.

After attaining her Fellowship from the Actuarial Society of the Philippines in 1993, she served as Chief Actuary for different life insurance, pre-need, and health insurance operations. She was the Chief Financial Officer for FWD Life when it established its life insurance company in the Philippines.

Lucia was the President of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines in 2006, and was in its Board as well as its Professional Standards and Review Council for several years. She is a BS Mathematics graduate of the University of the Philippines Diliman, cum laude, and has a Master of Science in Mathematics degree, also from UP Diliman.


Maria Carmela G. Cabading, FASP, FLMI, FICD

Maricar is a Consulting Actuary of Institutional Synergy, Inc. She assists clients in the areas of retirement plan design, actuarial valuation, design and set-up of employee benefits programs and employee benefits communication.

Prior to joining InSync, Maricar was President of the Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association Inc. (AFPMBAI) for a year, Senior Consulting Actuary at Towers Watson Philippines for over nineteen years, and Assistant Vice-President and Actuary of the Philippine American Life Insurance Company (Philamlife) for over twelve years.

During her stay at Philamlife, she also worked as manager of the actuarial departments of Philamlife’s affiliate companies – PhilamCare, a health maintenance organization and PhilamPlans, a pre-need company, serving for almost a year in each post.

Maricar is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines (FASP), Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI) and Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors (FICD). She holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics major in actuarial science, summa cum laude, from the University of Santo Tomas.

Angelina Mukhi, FPM

Ramonito Tampos, FICD

Ramonito “Monching” Tampos is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is retired President and Managing Director of Merck Inc. Philippines where he built his career starting as a Division Head to President. Monching brings to every endeavor his skills in strategy and general management, business development, marketing, data analysis, leadership and a deep love for developing people. A recognized expert in the pharmaceutical industry, his success story shows the impact of grit, excellence and integrity.

Monching completed his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Cebu Institute of Technology. He also took Executive Programs from the following institutions:

  • Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management Executive Program - Business Strategy

  • Hong-Kong University of Science & Technology, Executive Program in Finance

  • INSEAD Executive Program in Change Management

Beyond his success in the corporate world, Monching is also known for his advocacy for values-based leadership and giving back to the community. He is Founder and President of Rock Hill School of Leadership, a non-stock, non-profit Kinder to Grade 12 school to provide quality affordable education with scholarships for impoverished children.
